Funeral services for Mrs. Jeanette Hobbs, 66, of Louisiana, Missouri will be held at l:00 P.M. Saturday, April 2, 2011 at the Collier Funeral Home in Louisiana, Missouri. The Rev. Don Amelung assisted by The Rev. Alvin Young will officiate. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until time of services at l:00 P.M. Saturday, April 2nd at the funeral home. Burial will be in then Fairview Cemetery near Louisiana. Mrs. Hobbs passed away Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at the St. Luke's Hospital in Chesterfield, Missouri. She was born September 8, 1944 in Louisiana, Missouri to Bliss and Agnes Caldwell Roberts. Jeanette married Jack L. Hobbs, May 11, 1973 at the Centenary United Methodist Church in Louisiana, Missouri and he survives. She is also survived by one daughter, Rose Collard and husband, Mike of Louisiana, Missouri, Two sons; Scott Hobbs and wife, Ranee of Great Falls, Montana and Jon Hobbs and wife, Nicole of St. Peters, Missouri, Seven grandchildren; Audrey Hebert and husband, Marcus of Abbeville, Louisiana, Jacob Hobbs and Jack A. Hobbs of St. Peters, Missouri, Tyler Blackwell, Madison Collard, Katie Blackwell and Lane Collard all of Louisiana, Missouri and one brother; Bliss Roberts, III of Louisiana, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents; Bliss Russell Roberts, Jr. and Agnes Caldwell Roberts. She attended the Louisiana Elementary schools later moving to California where she graduated from the Santa Rosa High School in Santa Rosa, California. She was a member of the 2nd Baptist Church in Bowling Green, Missouri and an active member in the Elkettes Lodge 791 in Louisiana. She was presently serving as Treasurer of the Lodge and had held many other offices in the Lodge. She was awarded the Elkette of the Year Award twice and was to be presented the award again this year in April making it three years she had received this honor. Jeanette was a life long companion and partner on the family farm and had been very active in the operation of the farm. She was a loving grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and gardening and raising flowers in her past time. Honorary pallbearers are; Carl Henderson, Mike Love, Donnie Stewart, Bob Gibbs, Derek Deters, Donald Caldwell, Kenny Wombles and Benji Henderson. Active pallbearers are; Shawn Burroughs, Jacob Hobbs, Jack A. Hobbs, Tyler Blackwell, Bobby Garner, and Chris Peterman.
