Clarence Carroll

Funeral services for Mr. Clarence Henry Carroll, Sr., 89, of Bowling Green, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 30th at the Collier Funeral Home in Louisiana, Missouri. The Rev. Don Amelung will officiate. Burial will be at the Bowling Green City Cemetery in Bowling Green, Missouri. Visitation will be held from Noon until time of service at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Carroll passed away on October 28, 2010 at his home in Bowling Green, Missouri. He was born June 16, 1921 in Clarksville, Missouri to Wendell and Emma Burge Carroll. He married Alpha Mae Jennings on October 14, 1948 in Peoria, Illinois and she preceded him in death on July 3, 1996. He is survived by 1 daughter, Joyce Spegal and husband Noahie, 1 Son Raymond Carroll and wife Becky, all of Bowling Green, Missouri, 1 daughter in-law, Gayle Carroll of Farber, Missouri, 12 Grandchildren, 15 Great-Grandchildren, a special friend, Margaret Ingle of Joplin, Missouri, and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 daughters, Mary Kay Ince and Juanita Mae Carroll, 1 son, Clarence Sonny Carroll, an infant daughter, Beulah Jean Carroll, 3 brothers Raymond Carroll, Jim Carroll, Sam Carroll, and 2 sisters, Ruth Ulery and Mary Carroll. Mr. Carroll was a veteran serving with the US Army Air Corps during WWII. He was a member of the VFW #5553 in Bowling Green, Missouri and a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church in Bowling Green, Missouri. He worked at the Harvison-Walker Brick Plant in Vandalia, Missouri retiring in 1983. He was known as a good story teller and liked playing cards. He enjoyed watching his grandchildren playing ball. He loved his family very much and he will be missed. Honorary Pallbearers will be Joey Carroll, Dillon Carroll, Aiden Coffman, Colton Johnson, Lance Johnson, Craig Carroll, and Corey Carroll. Active Pallbearers will be Rick Spegal, Wes Patton, Phillip Kottwitz, Ivan Lee Johnson, Cody Spegal, and Zach Patton.
