Barbara Alice Robinson

Barbara Alice (Morrow) Robinson, 93, of Louisiana, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, August 29, 2026 at Avenir at Maple Grove. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:30am Saturday, September 19th, 2026 at First Christian Church in Louisiana, MO. Visitation will be from 10:00am until time of service at 11:30am on Saturday before the service. Burial will be at the Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Louisiana, MO. Barbara was born on May 21,1933 in Martinsburg Township, Illinois to Joseph Eugene and Sarah Harriett (Howland) Morrow. She married Arnold Dane Robinson on August 18, 1951 in Hannibal, MO. They were blessed to share 65 years of marriage together. Survivors include her two daughters and their husbands, Danette and Dan DeBourge, Linda and Mark Shade. She also leaves her beloved grandchildren, Jeffrey & Dustin DeBourge, Justin & Whitney DeBourge, Dane Shade, Isaac Shade & Maverick San Antonio, great grandchildren, Ariadne DeBourge, Ella DeBourge and Zane DeBourge, two sisters, Sally Cramm and Judy Hinch, and a brother-in-law, Jerry and wife, Claire Robinson and many, many adored nieces, nephews, greats and great-great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Daney Robinson, her parents, Joseph Eugene & Sarah Harriet Morrow, her many brothers/sisters, Wilbur Morrow, Bernice Grimsley Saxton, Bill Morrow, Erma Claus, Joe Morrow, Minnie Cooper, Kathy Reynolds, Rosemary Smith, Nancy Morrow and Richard Morrow. Barbara's family were her pride and joy along with her huge extended family. She and Daney enjoyed traveling to meet up with her siblings & visiting, often attending graduations, life events, and the many family reunions. Barbara had a big heart and always loved helping and doing for others. Cooking and baking were her ways of showing her love and hospitality. She was a talented cook making huge meals like her specialty-fried chicken, homemade noodles and rolls, along with her cinnamon rolls, apple pies, and angel food cakes. Along with all her cooking and baking she also held various jobs, through the years, working at the Nord-Buffum Button Factory, working as a receptionist with Dr. Per Brolinson & her dear friend, Dr. David Bilyea, was a teller at the Bank of Louisiana, bookkeeper at Pike County Memorial Hospital, and finally retiring from bookkeeper/Office manager at Pike Medical Clinic. After retirement, she enjoyed many years of making beautiful wedding and birthday cakes for family, friends, and customers. She was known for her holiday peanut brittle, strawberry jam, and hot mustard. She was always active with her daughters’ & grandchildren’s school and life events and activities; actively participating as a lifelong member at First Christian Church until she was unable to do so.
