Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Louise Huckstep, 86, of Clarksville, Missouri will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at the Collier Funeral Home in Louisiana, Missouri. The Rev. John Birkhead assisted by The Rev. Keith Barnhart and The Rev. Ron Kunzweiler will officiate. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 P.M. Monday, April 11th at Collier Funeral Home in Louisiana. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery near Eolia, Missouri. Mrs. Huckstep passed away Saturday, April 9, 2011 , peacefully at the Pike County Memorial Hospital in Louisiana. She was born December 11, 1924 in Louisiana, Missouri to William Dudley and Stella Mae (McCune) Sidwell. She married Richard A. Huckstep, Sr., September 10, 1949 in Piggott, Arkansas and he preceded her in death December 23, 1992. She is survived by her children, Richard A. Huckstep, Jr. and wife, Judy of Lexington, TN, William Joe (Bill) Huckstep of Louisiana, M0, Jack Martin Huckstep and friend, Denise Early of Louisiana, M0, Jimmy Allen Huckstep and wife, Darlene of Bowling Green, M0, Judy Ann Huckstep and Dusty Studler of Machesney Park, IL, Juan W. (Huck) Huckstep and Diana Guthrie of Louisiana, M0, Virginia Jane Pugh-Brown and husband, Roscoe of Eolia, M0, Jeffrey Lee Huckstep and wife, Mary of the home in Clarksville, M0, Janet Louise Campbell and husband, Frank of Louisiana, M0, Jennifer Mae Bogert and husband, Paul of Eolia, M0, Joyce Sue Mennemeyer and husband, Dale of Troy, M0, One daughter in-law, Mrs. Jerry E. (Debbie) Huckstep of Louisiana, M0, One brother, George E. Sidwell and a sister-in-law, Dorothy (Brown) Tinsley, both of Bowling Green, M0. Her pride and joy were her 26 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, two sons; Jerry Edward Huckstep and Robert Jay (Bobby) Huckstep, one brother, James Richard Sidwell of Pine Bluff, AR, an infant sister, Eldora June Sidwell, one son-in-law, Bruce E. Brown and one daughter-in-law, June Ann Huckstep. She graduated from the Louisiana High School. She was a member of the Dover Baptist Church in Calument, M0. and also enjoyed attending the Edgewood Baptist Church at Edgewood, M0. Sunday was her favorite day of the week. She always said her week did not start right unless she went to church on Sunday. She loved to listen to the St. Louis Cardinals on the radio and attended a game last summer at Busch Stadium. She also enjoyed listening to High School Basketball on the radio. Mrs. Huckstep lived on and operated the family farm along with her husband until his passing in 1992. She remained on the farm and was active in the operations until her death. She was a loving Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her family. She had many friends and was well known throughout the community as "Mom Huckstep". She was an excellent cook,, seamstress and gardener. Most recently, her favorite past time was her grandchildren. Honorary pallbearers are; Roscoe Pugh, Robert Parsons, Dennis Parsons, Chuck Gleason, Alvin Adams, Jr., Norman Smith, Bob Wells, Bob Ince and John Cottrell. Active pallbearers are her six sons; Jr., Bill, Jack, Jimmy, Juan and Jeff Huckstep.
