Virginia Rae “Ginny” Miller, 66, went to be with the Lord in Heaven on Friday, August 9, 2019 at her home in Sierra Vista, Arizona. Her wishes were to be cremated. A celebration and honor of her life memorial will be held Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at the Collier Funeral Home in Louisiana, MO. The memorial visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. until the time of services at 1:00 P.M. The Rev. Eloise Slaughter will officiate. Ginny was born on November 7, 1952 in Louisiana, MO, daughter of Virgil Rae Dowell and Florence “Daisy” Miller (Perkins). She spent most of her childhood and adolescent years in Ashley and Clarksville, MO. She later married John Charles Miller on July 13, 1984 in St. Charles, MO where they resided until John joined the military. They moved to Fort Polk, Louisiana, and next in their journey they were stationed overseas to England for 3½ years. Once back in the states, they were stationed in Virginia, Arizona, Georgia, and back to Arizona where they finally resided. She is survived by her husband, John, her mother, “Daisy” (Joe), 3 sons, Jeffery Dale Anderson (Christy), Corey Allen Anderson, and Kristoffer Charles Miller, a daughter, Rosemary Ann Miller, a sister, Linda Sisson, 6 grandchildren, Amanda Christine Anderson, Amber Michelle Anderson, Brooke Paige Anderson, Austin Michael Anderson, Savannah Marie Anderson, and Payten Dawn Anderson, 3 nephews, Terry Wayne Sisson (Sue), Richard Wesley Harrison, and Brian Edward Harrison (Lynndsey), and her beloved dog, Trouble. Ginny worked in her younger years at Stark Bros. Nursery. She found tremendous joy and happiness by helping the less fortunate by volunteering her time in food pantries, shelters, etc. She also on her own, bought food, blankets, personal care products, and distributed them herself to the homeless, especially the homeless veterans. She took time out for the veterans to personally get to know them and bought them tents, blankets, etc., but mostly showing them there was hope, appreciation, love, and good in the world, all of which gave her own personal joy. She also spent her time in her gardens, greenhouses, shopping, spoiling her children and grandchildren, and playing with her dog, Trouble. She co-owned Two Sweet Sisters Gift Baskets with her sister Linda. She continued all of her heartfelt, unselfishness, and joys until she was unable to due to her battle with cancer. She was a loving, dedicated, strong, driven, spunky w/sass wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to so so many. Ginny touched many lives, leaving and unforgettable impression. She was preceded in death by her father, Virgil Dowell, one son, Michael James Anderson, a sister, Rita Faye Harrison, and a niece, Cindy Faye Harrison.
