Robert Taylor Turner, 81, of Louisiana, MO, died on Sunday, February 6, 2022 at the Pike County Memorial Hospital in Louisiana, MO. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at the Faith Baptist Church in Louisiana, MO. Robert Rue will officiate. His ashes will be buried at the Fairview Cemetery near Louisiana, MO at a later date. He was born on March 9, 1940 in Athens, IL to Robert Lee and Edna Emma Stiles Turner. He was married To Golda Mae Ayers on March 10, 1963 in Louisiana, MO by Rev. D. L. Turnbough. He is survived by his wife, Golda, 2 sons, Scott (Nina) Turner and James W. Turner all of Louisiana, MO; 3 brothers, Fred Turner of Louisiana, MO, Lloyd “Duke” Turner of Louisiana, MO, and John (Mary Gail) Turner of Bowling Green, MO; 5 sisters, Leona Ryland (s.o. J.R.) of Louisiana, MO, Norma Blair of Mount Sterling, IL, Ora Fischer of St. Charles, MO, Priscilla (Bob) Klinger of Brooklyn, IL, and Virginia (Evaristo) Sotelo of Littleton, IL; grandchildren, James T. (Shawnee) Turner, Zachary Turner, Scotty Turner, Marlee Turner, Jeremy Bradshaw, Joshua Robinson, Johnny Robinson, and Gary Robinson; 10 great grandchildren, Cody Turner, Adam Turner, Aries Turner, Naomi Turner, Jacob Phipps, Lyla Robinson, Lydia Robinson, Lyton Robinson, Levi Robinson, Serenity Robinson, and Jordan Harrison; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Edna Turner; father and mother in-law, Roscoe and Virginia Ayers; a son, Robert Wayne; and 2 brothers, Scott W. Turner and Thomas Turner. Bob enjoyed fishing, working on motors, mowing, listening to country music, and spending time with all of his grandchildren and his beloved cat, Buddy. Cremation rites are being provided by Collier Funeral Homes, Inc. in Louisiana, MO. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Lung Association.
