Richard "Rick" Boyd

Mr. Richard Thomas “Rick” Boyd, 67, of Eolia, Missouri formerly of Louisiana, Missouri passed away Saturday, January 10, 2015 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born March 3, 1947 in De Pere, Wisconsin the son of Walter Alvin Boyd, Jr. and Charlene Bennett Boyd. Rick married Patricia Ann Smith May 10, 1980 at the Calvary Episcopal Church in Louisiana, Missouri. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Patricia Ann Boyd of the home, One daughter; Michelle Lee DanBack of Eolia, Missouri, a granddaughter; Alyssa Nichole DanBack of Eolia, Missouri, 2 brothers; John Boyd of Clarksville, Missouri and Walter Boyd III of St. Louis, Missouri, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Charlene Bennett Boyd Lawson. Rick had owned and operated the Louisiana Plumbing and Heating Company in Louisiana since December of 1987 until he retired in 2013 due to ill health. He was a member of the Elmwood Presbyterian Church in Louisiana, Missouri. Rick loved to go camping with his family and helping other people when they needed help. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, January 17, 2015 at the Collier Funeral Home in Louisiana, Missouri. The Rev. D. Randall Cone will officiate. Visitation will be held from Noon until time of services at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 17, 2015 at the funeral home.
