Gladys M. Charlton, 83, of Louisiana, MO, passed away on Sunday, January 23, 2022 peacefully at SSM St. Joseph Hospital in St. Charles, MO after a long battle with Dementia. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, January 26th at Poore Cemetery near Mozier, IL. The Rev. Mike Maze officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. Wednesday at the Collier Funeral Home in Louisiana, MO. She was born May 5, 1938 to Mildred and Raymond Seyl. She married Dwayne Charlton whom proceeded her in death. They lived a happy life for 56 years. She is survived by her brother, Raymon Seyl of Barry, IL, sister, Wanda Calhoun of Louisiana, MO, and half-sister, Mona Seyl of Daytona, FL, daughter in law, Janet Francis of Frankford, MO, 3 grandchildren, Tina Lamasney of Bowling Green, MO, Dewayne Francis of Louisiana, MO, and Cindy (Jason) Orf of Frankford, MO, 9 great grandchildren, Clinton (Brittany) Stewart, Travis (Jessica) Stewart, Caitie Harlan, Emmet Lamasney, Vanessa Whitacre, Hunter, Emalie, Rylee, and Jayce Orf, and 3 great great grandchildren, Rema and Raymond Stewart, Kai Stewart, and 1 on the way Elliana Stewart. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and step-father Raymond Snider, her sisters, Frances, Viola, Edna, and Virginia, her son, Charles Francis, and several nieces and nephews. She was employed for many years as a printer at Louisiana Plastics and as a Certified Nurse Aid for several local nursing homes before retirement. She loved to shop and yard sailing, but she truly loved to spoil all her grandchildren.
