Elmer Ellis "Fudd" Minor Jr.

November 15, 1946 - September 29, 2014

Mr. Elmer Ellis “Fudd” Minor, Jr. 67, of Vandalia, Missouri passed away Monday, September 29, 2014 at the University of Missouri Medical Center in Columbia, Missouri. Memorial services will be held at a later date. He was born November 15, 1946 in Louisiana, Missouri the son of Elmer Ellis Minor, Sr. and Cecil Chandler Minor. He married Connie Dowell March 6, 1971 in Trenton, Missouri and she survives. He is also survived by two daughters; Michelle Vasquez and Eric of Independence, Missouri and Debra Reyes of the home, One son; Robert Minor and Tamara of Altus, Oklahoma, Nine grandchildren; Amber Garza and Kelby, Christopher Vasquez, Michael Minor and Kaycee, Tierra-Dawn Vasquez and Kati, Shane Minor and Sarah, Jacob Minor, Justin Minor, Connie Reyes and Kylie Minor and Four great grandchildren; Elexia and Leah, Daphine and Matthew, One brother, James Henry and Don of Louisville, Kentucky, Two sisters; Sarah Morgan and Al of Eolia, Missouri and Janet Coslet and Wayne of Sweet Springs, Missouri, Along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and one special uncle, Sammy Chandler and wife, Cora Lee of Curryville, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters; Mary Darnell, Mary Bernice and Garnet Lambert. He attended the Clopton High School at Clarksville, Missouri. He was a veteran serving with the United States Marines during the Vietnam War. He had been employed as a Deputy with the Tillman County Sheriff’s Department in Frederick, Oklahoma. He had also operated “Fudds BBQ” in Frederick, Oklahoma He was a 32nd Degree Mason and was a member of Masonic Lodge 249 in Frederick, Oklahoma. In his spare time he enjoyed Hunting and Fishing and most of all spending time with his family and grandchildren. Memorials may be given to the family in care of Collier Funeral Homes, Inc., 117 Barnard Drive, Louisiana, MO 63353.
