Dolores M. May

Mrs. Dolores M. May, 88, of Clarksville, Missouri passed away Sunday, October 11, 2015 at the Maple Grove Lodge Nursing Home in Louisiana, Missouri. Her desire was to be cremated. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Tuesday, November 24th at the Calvary Episcopal Church in Louisiana. The Rev. Pat Glenn will officiate. She was born September 28, 1927 in Best, Texas, the daughter of Parvin and Hazel Woodward Woods. She married Clark Dean Willsey in 1945 and he preceded her in death in 1947. She married Ralph “Bud” May in 1953 and he preceded her in death in 2001. She is survived by two sons; Jim L. Willsey of Clarksville, Missouri and Bradley A. May of Hidden Valley Lake, California. Three grandchildren; Beau J. Willsey of Swansboro, North Carolina, Andrew and Patrick May of San Jose, California. She graduated from High School in 1945 at Pittsfield, Illinois. After her first husband died she moved to Springfield, Illinois where she lived for 25 years working as an Actuary for the Illinois State Insurance Company then for O’Keefe Insurance Agency and later for Horace Mann Insurance Agency all in Springfield, Illinois. She moved to Fort Lauderdale, Florida then returned to Clarksville, Missouri in 2006 to make her home. She was a member of the Woodside Methodist Church in Springfield, Illinois. In her spare time she loved to play Golf.
