Debra "Debby" Woodward

Debra “Debby” Sanderson Woodward, 69, of Clarksville, MO passed away on October 1, 2020. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, October 6, 2020 at the Eolia Baptist Church in Eolia, MO. The Rev. Lyndel Thompson will officiate. Burial will be at the Dover Cemetery near Clarksville, MO. Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. until time of service at the church. Debby was born on August 26, 1951 in Louisiana, MO to Betty Jean Graue Burns and Virgil “Pete” Sanderson. She was married to Jerry Woodward on September 5, 1969. Their union was blessed with one daughter, Sheri Lynn. Sheri wed Timothy Gaunt and now resides in Nixa, MO and they have 2 daughters, Alexa Riley, 15 and Kylie Grace, 11. Debby was a graduate of Clopton High School in 1969. She was a devoted stay at home mom for many years before going to work at Clopton Schools as the High School Secretary. She retired from Clopton in 2017, but continued her Hawk Pride by serving with the Clopton Alumni Association. Debby was also member of the Eolia Baptist Church where she played piano. Debby enjoyed reading, was a huge fan of St. Louis Cardinal baseball, and especially loved spending time with her granddaughters playing cards, board games, and completing puzzles. Preceding her in death were her husband, Jerry; her mother Betty Jean and her father Virgil “Pete”, and a nephew, Kevin Maher. She is survived by her daughter, Sheri and her family, her sister, Connie Sanderson Maher (Rusty), and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She will be missed. Memorials may be made to the Clopton Alumni Association, or Donor’s Choice. Collier Funeral Home in Louisiana, MO is in charge of arrangements.
