Carol Ann Bradley

February 1, 1942 - April 14, 2020

Mrs. Carol Ann (Furness) Bradley, 78, of Louisiana, MO, passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2020 at the Maple Grove Lodge in Louisiana, MO. Private family graveside services will be held and a Celebration of Life will be at a later date. She was born on February 1, 1942 in St. Louis, MO to Wilbur and Ethel Ball Furness. She started her work life at age 14 to help support her mother and sister after the loss of her father. She earned her GED and then went to business school. After business school she started working in the office of Dobbs House, a supplier for TWA. Throughout her working life, she also worked in the offices of Wal-Mart in Troy, MO, filled roles from janitorial service to office support at Dundee in Clarksville, MO, worked at various financing companies, and was a manager for the SkyRide in Clarksville, MO. She enjoyed attending services at the Methodist Church and supported her children through active membership in the PTA. Carol was an avid lover of crafts, quilting, and gardening. She was also an avid animal lover and fisherwoman, teaching each of her grandchildren how to fish. She was an avid baseball fan and never wanted to miss her Cardinals on the television. She is survived by her children, Chris (Brenda) Schomburg of St. Clair, MO, and Teresa (Tom) Turley of Troy, MO, and her grandchildren, Joanna Vestel, Amber Smith, Heather Rose Price, Jennifer Payne, Shawn Schomburg, Shelby Schomburg, Andrea Baker, Emma Baker, Trista Turley-Martin, Tanner Turley, Mackenzie Hager, Alex Tadlock, Trinity Tadlock, and Aries Tadlock, and several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter, Christina “Tina” Bradley-Tadlock, and her sister, Fran Reinwald. She is remembered by her family as a strong woman, a hard worker, and a handy household engineer who could fix just about anything. Memorials may be made to P.A.L.S. for animal care and shelter. Collier Funeral Home, Louisiana, MO was in charge of arrangements.
