Betty June Hooton

April 22, 1944 - April 11, 2015

Mrs. Betty June Hooton, 70, of Clarksville, Missouri passed away Saturday, April 11, 2015 at the Pike County Memorial Hospital in Louisiana, Missouri. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at the Clarksville Methodist Church in Clarksville, Missouri. The Rev. Art Moore will officiate. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 14th at the Collier Funeral Home in Louisiana, Missouri. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery in Clarksville. Betty was born April 22, 1944 in Louisiana, Missouri the daughter of Earl and Margaret Eckert Calvey. On May 1, 1965 she married Frank Hooton at the Clarksville Methodist Church in Clarksville, Missouri. She is survived by her husband, Frank Hooton of the home, two sons, Dru Hooton (Mindi) of Atlanta, Georgia and Tim Hooton (Alicia) of Moscow Mills, Missouri, three grandsons; Cody Hooton and Tyler Hooton both of Atlanta, Georgia and Cooper Hooton of Moscow Mills, Missouri, one granddaughter,; Carley Hooton of Moscow Mills, Missouri, cousins and a special cousin Kathy Hodits of Camdenton, Missouri who was raised as a sister to Betty. She was preceded in death by her father, Earl Calvey who died July 6, 2000 and her mother, Margaret Eckert Calvey who died November 16, 2008. Betty graduated from the Clopton High School in 1962. She later attended and graduated from the Quincy Beauty Academy in Quincy, Illinois. She owned and operated ” Betty’s Beauty Shop” in Clarksville until her retirement in the late 1990”s. She was a lifetime member of the Clarksville Methodist Church and a member of the Pike Linn Quilt Guild at Clarksville. Honorary pallbearers are; Cody Hooton, Cooper Hooton, Tyler Hooton, Bill Shive, Bob Black, Terry Smith, Allie Jim Wombles, Larry Myers, Rev. Bob Hanes, Tom Pellikaan and Rich Hodits. Active pallbearers are; Louis Busch Steven Hooton, Raymond Abel, Jim Ross, Gerald Pellikaan and Bob Frank In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the Clarksville Methodist Church in care of Collier Funeral Homes, Inc., 117 Barnard Dr., Louisiana, Missouri 63353
