Memorial services for Mr. Walter Eugene Kottwitz, 69, of Louisiana, Missouri will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, June 23rd at the Collier Funeral Home in Louisiana, Missouri. The Rev. Paul Lewis will officiate. Visitation will be held from Noon until time of services at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, June 23rd. Members of Elks Lodge 791 will conduct Memorial Services at l:30 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home. Members of American Legion Post 370 in Louisiana, Missouri will conduct Military Honors following the Elks Lodge service. Mr. Kottwitz died Saturday, June 9, 2007 at the St. Luke?s Hospital West in Chesterfield, Missouri. His desire was to be cremated. He was born February 7, 1938 in Louisiana, Missouri to Henry and Esther Arline Fanning Kottwitz. He married Helen Virginia Taylor, May 22, 1970 at the First Baptist Church in Clarksville, Missouri and she survives. Other survivors include Four daughters, Pam Tipton and husband, Greg of Curryville, Missouri, Lori Kottwitz of St. Peters, Missouri, Kathie Hilton and husband, George of Louisiana, Missouri and Ramona Otterson and husband, Randy of Greenville, Illinois, Two sons, Steven Presley and wife, Charlotte of Clarksville, Missouri and Ralph Presley of Elsberry, Missouri, numerous grandchildren, Gt. Grandchildren, Nieces and Nephews and one sister, Helen Priess and husband, Fred of Merritt, Island, Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Harold Kottwitz. He had been employed as a Production Supervisor for Holcin Cement Company in Clarksville, Missouri until his retirement in January of 2000. He graduated from the Bowling Green High School in 1955. He was a veteran serving with the United States Army. He was a member of the Curryville Baptist Church in Curryville, Missouri. Member of American Legion Post 349 in Clarksville, Missouri. A 20 year member of Elks Lodge 791 in Louisiana, Missouri and a member of the Clarksville Boat Club. He loved to fish and play washers. Memorials may be given to Pike County Home Health and Hospice or to the George Keith Elks Scholarship Fund in care of Collier Funeral Homes, Inc., 117 Barnard Drive, Louisiana, Missouri 63353.
