Paul Cleveland "Jack" Crowder

Mr. Paul Cleveland “Jack” Crowder, 79, of Louisiana, Missouri passed away Monday, March 6, 2017 at the Pike County Memorial Hospital in Louisiana. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 10, 2017 at Collier Funeral Home in Louisiana. The Rev. Scott DeCamp will officiate. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with burial in Greenwood Cemetery at Clarksville, Missouri. He was born April 2, 1937 in Pleasant Hill, Illinois the son of Chester and Mary Lucille Wintjen Crowder. He married Catherine Ann Ward October 4, 1964 at the First Baptist Church in Louisiana, Missouri. He is survived by his wife, Catherine Ann “Kay” Crowder of the home, one son, Brian Crowder (Karin) of Wentzville, Missouri, four daughters; Natalie Crow (Will) of Houston, Texas, Angela Durand (Bill) of Kansas City, Missouri, Gina Elledge of Troy, Missouri, and Melinda St. Clair (Roy) of Louisiana, Missouri, 10 grandchildren: Megan Cannon, Ashley Daniel, Zachary Durand, Dustin Elledge, Lauree Griffith, Brianna St. Clair, Jacob St. Clair, Riley, Landon, and Ryder Crowder; 2 great grandchildren, Addison and Avery Cannon; and one brother, Burdette Crowder of Nebo, Illinois; one sister, Hilda Douglas of Quincy, Illinois; and many nieces and nephews. Jack was preceded in death by his parents and his grandson, Zachary Durand. He graduated from Pleasant Hill High School. He had co-owned and operated a Shell Service Station in Louisiana, Missouri. He later owned and operated a Sinclair Service Station and bulk delivery fuel truck operation in Louisiana, Missouri. He was later employed at Dundee Cement Co. at Clarksville, Missouri until his retirement in 2002. He enjoyed participating in sports with his children. He had also coached and managed several softball teams and was an avid Cardinals baseball fan. Honorary pallbearers will be: Jacob St. Clair, Riley Crowder, Landon Crowder, and Ryder Crowder. Active pallbearers will be Bill Durand, Roy St. Clair, Dustin Elledge, Tyler Cannon, George DeCamp, and Lucas Watson. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family in care of Collier Funeral Homes, Inc., 117 Barnard Drive, Louisiana, Missouri 63353.
