Funeral services for Mrs. Opal Marie Henderson, 92, of Clarksville, Missouri, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 28th at the Collier Funeral Home in Louisiana, Missouri. The Rev. Stan Henderson will officiate. Burial will be at the Greenwood Cemetery near Clarksville, Missouri. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 27th at the funeral home. Mrs. Henderson passed away on December 21, 2012 at the Maple Grove Lodge in Louisiana, Missouri. She was born on July 30, 1920 in Rural Nebo, Illinois to Robert R. and Clemma Franklin Conner. She was married to James M. “Sonny” Henderson and he preceded her in death on December 22, 2004. She is survived by 8 children, Rose Mary Chamberlain and husband Gary of Bowling Green, Missouri, James R. "Bobby" Henderson and wife Karen of Pleasant Hill, Illinois, Dorothy M. Montang and husband Tom of South Sioux City, Nebraska, Curtis Henderson of Eolia, Missouri, Barbara A. Hawkins and husband Rich of Jerseyville, Illinois, Dick W. Henderson and wife Michele “Mickie” of Clarksville, Missouri, Claudie L. Henderson and wife Marie of Louisiana, Missouri, and Nancy L. Colbert of Clarksville, Missouri, 2 sisters, Hallie Crowder of Warren, Illinois and Wanda Johnson of Lansing, Kansas, 1 brother, Truman Jake Conner of Pleasant Hill, Illinois, 22 Grandchildren and 34 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, John Richard Henderson on July 10, 1945, 3 brothers, Bill Conner, Fred Conner, and Logan Conner, and 2 great granddaughters, Chasity Henderson in 1986 and Melissa Henderson in 1988. She had lived her whole life with her husband on the farm near Clarksville, Missouri. She attended the Cowboy Church in Bowling Green, Missouri. She enjoyed crocheting doilies, baby blankets, and afghans. Pallbearers will be Scott Chamberlain, David Henderson, Travis Henderson, Robbie Schmid, Johnny Henderson, and Adam Henderson.
