Funeral services for Mr. Lindell Cletis Love, 76, of rural Louisiana, Missouri will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at the Collier Funeral Home in Louisiana. The Rev. Brook Kurth will officiate. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, April 18th at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery near Louisiana, Missouri. Mr. Love passed away peacefully Saturday, April 16, 2011 at the St. Joseph Hospital West at Lake St. Louis, Missouri. He was born June 28, 1934 in Louisiana, Missouri to Oliver Cletis Love and Martha Holliday Love. He married Ruth Wagner on September 14, 1958 in Louisiana, Missouri and she survives. He is also survived by one son; Philip Love of Marshall, Missouri, one daughter; Gail Shaw and husband, Elmo of Louisiana, Missouri, a very special grandson; Jordan Shaw of Louisiana, Missouri, one brother, Mackie D. Love and wife, Carol of Dauphin, Manitoba, two sisters, Dortha Glass and husband, Dr. Robert Glass of Louisiana, Missouri and Freda Harris and husband, Dr. Basil Harris of Camano Island, Washington, Aunts, Bernice Raney of Frankford, Missouri and Wilma Love of Kansas City, Missouri, Uncle, R.M. Holliday of Louisiana, Missouri and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, four uncles; Marion Love, Chick Love, Kenneth "Tom" Love and Byron Love and four aunts; Lillie Raney, Opal Anderson, Lorene Sparks and Marguerite Rule. Lindell graduated from the Louisiana High School with the class of 1953. He was a veteran serving with the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He had farmed all of his life in Pike County except for the years he spent in the Army. He was a member of the Grassy Creek Baptist Church and attended Sunday School and Church as long as his health permitted. He was a former member of the Fairview Cemetery Board, member of what was formerly the ASC Committee, former member of the MFA Board of Directors and received the Bowling Green Jaycees Young Farmer Award in 1969. Pallbearers are; Andrew Love, Eddy Love, Dennis Raney, Gary Raney, Larry Dale Raney and Richard D.
