Lester Eugene Redd

Lester “Leslie” Eugene Redd, 60, of Troy, Missouri, formerly of Clarksville, Missouri, departed life on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at his home. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, July 31, 2015 at the Collier Funeral Home in Louisiana, Missouri. The Rev. Marvin Davis will officiate. Visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. until time of service at 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Leslie was born to Theodore “Ted” and La Doris Yates Redd on September 8, 1954 in Louisiana, Missouri. Les attended Clopton School and Hannibal LaGrange College and studied ministry. While attending HLG he worked as a Youth Group Counselor and later became a Police Officer for the Hannibal Police Department. Les loved cooking and later became a Chef and worked for several local restaurants in Pike and Lincoln Counties, and later opened Round Man Barbecue and Catering in Troy, Missouri which he continued till his death. Les leaves behind 2 sons, Ryan (Erika) Chatman of Louisiana, Missouri, and Shawn (Ashley) Redd of Troy, Missouri, Granchildren Taylor, Kylie, and Bryson Chatman of Louisiana, Missouri, Korry Nelson of Troy, Missouri, and Taylor Almond and Conner Schaffer of Troy, Missouri, a brother Ronnie (Diane) Redd of Clarksville, Missouri, a sister Terry Redd of Santa Rosa, California, formerly of Clarksville, Missouri, a niece Lizbeth Redd and nephew Matthew Redd of Clarksville, Missouri, and nephew Anthony Redd and Great Nephew Payton Redd both of Louisiana, Missouri, aunts and uncles, Maymie Wheeler, George Yates, Chris (Shelly) Redd, and Daisy (Frank) Warren all of Clarksville, Missouri, Jamie Wheeler, Gene Ann (Dempsey) Dixon both of Vandalia, Missouri, Harold Wheeler of Rock Island, Illinois, and Fannie (William) Carter of Davenport, Iowa, and special friends Adele Lucket, Connie Almond, and Amanda Almond all of Troy, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents Theodore and La Doris Redd, Grandparents Les and Emma Lou Yates, and Mary Alice Redd. Les enjoyed life, cooking, and riding his horses, and most of all his family and friends.
