Funeral services for Mr. Kenneth James Lawson, 53, of Louisiana, Missouri will be held at l:00 P.M. Friday, May 4th at the Collier Funeral Home in Louisiana, Missouri. The Rev. Mark Sheppard will officiate. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 P.M. Thursday, May 3rd at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Riverview Cemetery in Louisiana. Mr. Lawson died Tuesday, May 1, 2007 at the Pike County Memorial Hospital in Louisiana, Missouri. He was born November 29, 1953 in Louisiana, Missouri to Paul and Iona Bunker Lawson. He married Deirdre Murphy July 1, 2000 in Louisiana, Missouri and she survives. He is also survived by his mother, Iona Lawson of Louisiana, Missouri, two sons, Christopher James Lawson of Louisiana, Missouri and Wayne McCormick of the State of Florida, Three daughters, Ashley Dawn Lawson and Stephanie McCormick both of Louisiana, Missouri and Molly McCormick of the State of Florida, Two brothers, Maurice Lawson and Michael Lawson both of Louisiana, Missouri, Eight sisters, Iona Henderson, Linda Davis, Bea King and Nellie Rousan all of Louisiana, Missouri, Becky Chrisman of Vandalia, Missouri, Brenda Adams of Troy, Missouri, Kathleen Bradshaw of Bartlesville, Oklahoma and Sylvia Lawson of St. Louis, Missouri, Nine grandchildren, Thad Rule, Chris Rule, Austin Rule, Lane Rule, Faith Rule, Lesley Ostrander, Kenneth McCormick, Christopher Lawson and Jazlyn Ostrander all of Louisiana, Missouri, Three step-grandchildren and Nieces and Nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Guy Lawson who died July 24, 1985, Three brothers, Lyndle Lawson who died April 18, 1987, Charles Lawson who died October 31, 2001 and Paul Lawson, Jr. who died November 5, 2002. He had owned and operated "Lawson Tree Trimming Service" in Louisiana, Missouri for a number of years. Honorary pallbearers are; Tony Niffen, Matt Smith, Buddy Duggins ,Clay McCormick, Dale Resor and Neil Rule. Active pallbearers are; Ross Harrison, II, Evan Hoskins, Phillip Johnson, Jr. Moore, Bobby Grover and Benji Henderson.
