Frederick Rudd

Funeral services for Mr. Frederick George Rudd, 60, of St. Clair, Missouri formerly of Eolia, Missouri will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday, June 29th at the Collier Funeral Home in Louisiana, Missouri. The Rev. Nolan McCants will officiate. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until time of services at 1:00 P.M. Friday, June 29th at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Knob Cemetery near Eolia, Missouri. Mr. Rudd passed away at his home in St. Clair on Saturday, June 23, 2007. He was born April 17, 1947 at Edgewood, Missouri to Charles and Anna Thomas Rudd. He married Connie Burton in 1969 at Springfield, Missouri. He later married Marian Sue Marks October 8, 1998 in Las Vegas, Nevada and she survives. Other survivors include, One daughter, Tonya Williams and husband, Mark of Boilingbrook, Illinois, His mother, Anna Rudd of Jennings, Missouri. His extended family, Lon Ely and wife, Gay of St. Clair, Missouri, Lanice Wagner and husband, Wayne of Lonedell, Missouri, Three grandsons, Tyler Williams and Zachary Williams both of Boilingbrook, Illinois and John Wagner of Lonedell, Missouri, Three granddaughters, Keri Ely of St. Clair, Missouri, Katy Wagner and Nora Wagner both of Lonedell, Missouri, 6 sisters, Annette Tucker and husband, Henry of Centralia, Missouri, Joyce Rudd of Jennings, Missouri, Rosemary Nailon and husband, Robert of Altadena, California, Kathleen Alexander of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Susie Smith of Kansas City, Missouri and Loretta Dedmon of Bedford, Texas, One brother, Charles Rudd, Jr. of St. Louis County and Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Rudd, Sr. who died August 10, 1986. One sister, Marjorie Bryant who died April 11, 1977 and by a brother, James Rudd who died in infancy. He graduated from the Clopton High School in Clarksville, Missouri and later graduated from the Southwest Baptist College in Bolivar, Missouri. He was an exceptional athlete and excelled in Baseball, Track and Basketball while in High School and College and set many records. He accepted Jesus as his saviour while at Southwest Baptist College. He had been employed as a School Teacher for the Peabody School in St. Louis, Missouri for a short period. He was later employed as a Greyhound Bus Driver until his retirement. He had also been employed as an over the road truck driver for Estes Express. He was an avid deer hunter and pool player and loved gardening, working in his flower garden, Woodburning and playing the Native American Flute. He also made barbwire crosses and they can be found in many churches, businesses and homes throughout the United States. Honorary pallbearer; Joyce Rudd. Active Pallbearers are; Henry Tucker, Michael Alexander, Lon Ely, Wayne Wagner, Mark Williams and MacArthur Clark. Fred had an exceptional zeal for life and all who were blessed to know him will remember him with joy and fondness.
