David B. Webber

David Brian Webber, age 80, of New London, MO, passed away on March 28, 2026, at his home in New London. He was born on February 19, 1946, in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada. Raised in St. Stephen, New Brunswick, by his adoptive parents, Elsie and Robert Webber, David remained deeply connected to his Canadian roots throughout his life. He spent 26 years in Taymouth, New Brunswick, along the Nashwaak River, where he was active in the community and a longtime member of the Taymouth Recreation Council. David was known for his kindness, reliability, and quiet strength. He took great pride in coaching his children in hockey and baseball. He was an electrician by trade for over 40 years. He moved to Missouri in 1998 and married Frances L. Gibbons Wheeler on September 15, 1999. He worked as an electrician for Bleigh Construction from 1999 until his retirement. In retirement, David enjoyed dancing at the Armory, listening to live music, taking Sunday drives through the countryside, watching westerns and The Curse of Oak Island, and spending time with friends and family. He had a gift for making friends wherever he went. David will be deeply missed by his wife, family, and their beloved animals. He is survived by his wife, Frances; daughter Carmen Colford (Mackie) of Taymouth, New Brunswick, Canada; son Darren (Jenn) of Taymouth, New Brunswick, Canada; son Duane (Michelle) of Truro, Nova Scotia; daughter Sabrena Craft Grisham (Doug) of Alvarado, TX; son Marvin (Tessa) of Hannibal, MO; and daughter Johnna (Mark) of Gerald, MO. He was a proud grandfather to Catlin, Ashtyn, Mackenzie, Jack, Carson, Madison, Riley, Kiersten, Jonathan, Matthew, Ciara, Thomas, and Brooke, and a great-grandfather to Gavin, Grayson, Douglas, Ember, Rogan, and Mason. He was preceded in death by his parents, his birth mother, Goldie White, and his sister, Anne. At David’s request, no formal services will be held. His family encourages those who wish to honor his memory to do so through acts of kindness. His legacy lives on in the stories shared, the lessons he taught, and the love he gave so freely. Collier Funeral Home in Louisiana, MO was in charge of cremation rites.
