Darlene M. Gott

Darlene M. Gott, 56, of Louisiana, MO, passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at the Mercy Hospital in St. Louis, MO. A memorial visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Friday, January 20th at the Collier Funeral Home in Louisiana, MO. She was born on April 6, 1966 in San Jose, CA to Lloyd Robert “Bob” Jackson and Terri Deluca Jackson. Since moving to Louisiana 21 years ago, Darlene worked at Fifth Gear, Allparts, and most recently The City of Louisiana. During her time at Fifth Gear and Allparts she made many friends and enjoyed spending her time there. She had some of her best memories and some of the most fun times working with "her people." She recently started working at the City of Louisiana and she enjoyed growing out of her comfort zone and learning many new things. Darlene’s favorite thing to do was to spend time with her kids and grandkids. Her whole world revolved around them. She loved watching her grandkids play sports and never missed a single thing. She loved taking them shopping and never said no to anything they wanted, even something as crazy as shark shoes. She loved scratching lottery tickets and she passed her love for that down to her grandson Jackson, who always insists he has to have one every time he walks into a gas station. All who knew her knew that she spoke fluent in sarcasm and she happened to love a certain four-letter word. But as sarcastic as she was, she had a heart of gold. She went out of her way to make everyone happy and always made sure to remind everyone how loved they are. She was genuine & kind and everyone who knew her loved her. Darlene is survived by her daughter Amber Penrod, 2 sons, Michael Gott and James Jackson, her parents, Bob and Terri Jackson, her grandchildren, Connor and Jackson Penrod, Savannah Collins, and Addison Jackson, her sisters, Mary, Barbara, Candice, and Suzanne, and also Jim Sr. and Dottye Gott. She will be dearly missed. She would never want anyone to be sad over this tremendous loss. Instead, she would want there to only be happiness when thinking about her. Rest easy, we love you forever and always. Memorials may be made to the Louisiana Recreation Association in care of the funeral home.
