Cynthia Hunt

Cynthia T. Hunt, 70 of Louisiana, MO, passed away on Monday, October 24, 2022 at her home with her son Chase. Her wishes were to be cremated and a Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date. Cynthia was born on September 10th, 1952 at Harris Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas to Thomas Howard Boyer and Gladys Anna McKinney. She is survived by her two sons, Chase Hunt and Skylar Hunt (Charlene) of Louisiana, MO, one grandson, Adam Hunt, a sister, Deanna Morris of Houston, TX, and many nieces and one nephew. She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Cynthia Rebecca Hunt, and a sister, Latisha Peterson. Born and raised in Texas, Cynthia graduated from Green B. Trimble Technical High School in 1970 in Fort Worth while also acquiring a certificate in Commercial Art. She was one of the many journalism students who created artwork for the school newspaper. She attended Texas Christian University and studied Interior Decorating and later attended Cisco Junior College. She was employed with various companies in Texas such as an Ad Art Studio, Fort Worth Engravers, Soil Conservation Service, Photo Studio, Dallas Quality Inn, Irving Ramada, Haltom’s, Inc, Eastland County Police Department, Bruner Drilling, and The Rig where she had resigned in order to care for her daughter Rebecca. She worked in many fields of specialty such as being a dispatcher, bartender, and professional photographer. She was also involved in the crude oil business on land she owned in Texas. She also did professional work for Black Giant Oil Company. Upon moving to Saginaw, Texas, she assisted Italian doll maker Frank Arizzi with doll making and painting. Upon moving to Louisiana, Missouri, where she raised her two sons, she was employed with various companies such as Tamar Plastics, Mike’s Cab Company, Casey’s General Store as a pizza maker. It was here she was deemed the “Pizza Queen” for how she made her Pizzas with love and enjoyed her customers. Allparts, Abel’s Quik Shop as a cashier, and managed Movie Palace where she loved making film suggestions to customers. She also provided in-home health care work to some and later became employed at Karl’s movies and grocery store until her retirement. In her spare time, she enjoyed drawing, studying movies and tv shows, sewing, doll making, upholstering old furniture, writing movie scripts, making short independent films with her camera, painting her house, staining glass windows, cooking homemade food, and bargain hunting. Every morning, she enjoyed sitting on her porch and being a socialite. She also enjoyed caring for community cats. She also volunteered with the local food pantry to help out and visit with everyone. Last year she assisted Cheryl Abrams in opening Heidi’s Trading Post. She loved many of her cats, especially her cats Virgo, Doodie, Linda, Suki, and Trump. She was also an avid Buddhist, and collected many buddha statues throughout her life. She was a friend, mentor, and most importantly, a loving mother. Honorary pallbearers will be Steven Henry, Jack Klotz, Cheryl Abrams, and Karl Sippely. Memorials may be made to the Louisiana Food Pantry or the Clothing Room downtown in Louisiana.
