Ansel "Butch" Sanderson

Memorial services for Mr. Ansel Milton “Butch” Sanderson, 87 of Louisiana, Missouri will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday, April 29, 2013 at the Collier Funeral Home in Louisiana. The Rev. Randall Cone will officiate. Visitation will be held from Noon until time of service at 2:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Masonic services will be held at 2:00 p.m. by members of Perservance Lodge #92 at the funeral home. Butch passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at the Pike County Memorial Hospital in Louisiana. He was born May 9, 1925 in Dover, Missouri the son of Bunyon Milton Sanderson and Reeta Robinson Sanderson. He married Carolyn Inez Stoddard October 22, 1965 at Bowling Green, Missouri and she survives. Other survivors include; One daughter, Gina Stephensen of Louisiana, Missouri, Three sons; Art Stoddard (Lori) of Largo, Florida, Randy Stoddard (Pam) of Republic, Missouri and Jeffrey Stoddard of Kaufman, Texas, Six granddaughters; Aleasha Kiel and Wood Elliott both of St. Charles, Missouri, Amber Sterne (Bill), Jamie Sterne and Corey Anderson all of Louisiana, Missouri, Melissa Lesley of Bowling Green, Missouri, Randi Jo Miller (Caleb) of Republic, Missouri, Brooke Gardner (Alex) of Nixa, Missouri, Six great granddaughters; Abagail White, Camilla Sterne, Brooke Anderson, Savannah Marie Anderson and Payten Anderson all of Louisiana, Missouri and Savannah Jo Miller of Republic, Missouri, Two great grandsons; Layne Miller of Republic, Missouri and Leim Elliott of St. Charles, Missouri, nieces, nephews and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Reeta Sanderson Turnbul, Father, Bunyon Sanderson, Stepfather, Claude Turnbul and sister Snookie Jenkins. He had been employed at Hercules Chemical Company in Louisiana, Missouri as an Electrician for a few years. He was later employed by the Corps of Engineers as an Electrician at Lock and Dam 24 in Clarksville, Missouri until his retirement. He was a veteran serving with the United States Navy during World War II. He was a member of the Elmwood Presbyterian Church in Louisiana. A 61 year member of the IBEW Local 350 of Hannibal, Missouri. A 51 year member of Masonic Lodge #92 and a member of the American Legion Post 370 in Louisiana.
