Martha "Jo" Webb Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Funeral services for Mrs. Martha J. "Jo" Webb, 83, of Omaha, Nebraska formerly of Louisiana, Missouri will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, May 29th at the Collier Funeral Home in Louisiana, Missouri. Bishop Lance R. Foster will officiate. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, May 29th at the funeral home. Interment will follow at the Riverview Cemetery in Louisiana. Mrs. Webb passed away Friday, May 21, 2010 at the Methodist Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska. Martha Joenetta Webb was born October 12, 1926 in Paynesville, Missouri, the second child of Eddie and Daisy Lynn Stark. Jo as she was known to family and friends was always a responsible and hard working person. At a young age she interrupted her education, went to work to help raise her younger siblings, after the death of her father. It was this philosophy of caring and helping family that she lived by all of her life. Family meant everything to her. Martha was married to Albert Raymond Webb on November 4, 1950. Albert preceded her in death April 14, 1994. Although no children were born to this union, they made up for it by caring and nuturing for brothers, sisters, nephews and nieces. The joy of her life, were her little pets, Missy, Sassy and Tea. Often times she would say, "You know they are just like people, they understand what you say to them. Martha was a great home maker, she loved to cook, keep her home spotless and no weed stood a chance of growing in her yard. She resided in Louisiana for approximately 60 years working for Pendleton Mills and later retiring from Louisiana Plastics after 25 years of service. After an illness in May 2006, Martha went to live with her sister and family in Omaha, Nebraska. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eddie Lee and Daisy Lynn Stark, brothers, Ananias Lee Stark, Norman Lee Stark, Eugene Stark and sister, Josephine Juran. She leaves to honor her memory three sisters, Charlene Blair (Kenneth) of Omaha, Nebraska, Allene Stark of Louisiana, Missouri and Katy Ann Scott of Louisiana, Missouri, a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and loved pets, Sassy and Tea. Memorials may be given to New Hope Apostolic Temple in Omaha, Nebraska.
