Daniel W. Norris, 53, of Louisiana, MO, went to his heavenly home on July 6, 2024. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, July 16, 2024 at the Collier Funeral Home in Louisiana, MO. Burial will be at the Riverview Cemetery in Louisiana, MO. Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. until time of service Tuesday at the funeral home. He was born on November 11, 1970 in Ironton, MO to Carroll and Ann June Norris. He is survived by his mother June Cleeton of Louisiana, MO, a son Dalton Norris of Louisiana, MO, 2 brothers Darrell Norris of Vandalia, MO and Chris Norris of Adel, GA, a sister whom he loved very dearly Deb (Sheldon) Howland of rural Milton, and his life long forever friend Erin Stewart who stuck by him through the good, the bad, and the ugly. He was preceded in death by his father Carroll Norris and a brother David Norris. Daniel was a jack of all trades, but carpenter was his main trade. He loved life and enjoyed it to the fullest. He loved his music and liked it loud. He never knew a stranger and always was willing to lend a helping hand. He earned the nickname of Smiley because he always had a smile on his face. He spent most of his life in the south in the state of Georgia. He was a collector of rebel memorabilia, his favorite being the rebel flag. He also collected Nascar memorabilia and attended many races with his brother Darrell and friends tailgating and partying as well as enjoying many backyard BBQ’s with family and friends. Last but not least, his passion was spending time with family and friends. He loved his family and was adamant about visiting and spending time with them and taking care of them, especially his mother, and was especially proud of the time he got to spend with his son. He was a simple man and the sweetest you could ask for. Honorary pallbearers will be Darrell Norris, Chris Norris, Clinton Dotson, Stanley Dotson, Bradley Dotson, Roy Butler, and Glen Stalvey. Active pallbearers will be Sheldon Howland, Kshe Howland, Kyle McEuen, Elvis Martin, Dale Buchanan, and Terry Welch. Memorials can be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
